It’s one thing to do your own weight loss program say either on your own or with a friends, but you really need people who can be there all the time for you. Now for me it felt like I was the fat one in my family. It seemed like the rest of my family could all just eat whatever the heck they wanted and would not put on weight, but for me I would just look at a McDonalds and I would put a pound on! I found losing weight very stressful when I was doing it on my own. Not just the actual losing weight, but dealing with friends and family who had no clue what I was going through, knowing what food was good, what kind of portions I should be having and so much more. When I joined a weight loss group, I felt a like a huge weight had been lifted off my shoulders as I was no longer doing it all on my own.
You Meet New People
I have made some friends for life thanks to getting the courage to go and join a weight loss club. I went in, pretty much a shy and nervous wreck, but after a few months I found I was looking forward to class. Not only because I could share my weight loss progress and story, but also because I could catch up with some good people. People who had gone and were going through the same thing I was.
