Did you know that not all types of skins should use an exfoliating cream?
The exfoliating cream is a product that causes a chemical or physic microabrasion on the skin, removing the stains and the impurities of the exterior layer of the skin (the dead skins and some lipid parts). It also stimulates the renewal of the new skin cells with more collagen, making the skin more hydrated.
Every exfoliation makes the skin smooth and more receptive to the active principles of cosmetics. But excess exfoliation and the use of an exfoliating cream in the wrong types of skins can damage the skin. So, beware with exfoliating creams because they can remove the oiliness that protects the skin from fungus and bacteria.
Things to Know About Exfoliating Cream
You should apply the exfoliating cream in oily skins and in dark skins (because the pigmentation of the skins is more intense). If you have dry skin, don`t use an exfoliating cream because it can remove the scarce lipid part of your skin. Don`t use it also if you have herpes, if your skin has wounds or you have sun burns, and a allergy of a component of the cream.
The exfoliating creams have different intensities for different body parts. For example, a facial exfoliating cream is more delicate than a cream of other body part. So, use the creams only in the recommended body parts of it to avoid serious problems like inflammations.
Proper Applying of Exfoliating Cream
Before you apply the cream make sure your skin is clean. Apply the cream in circular movements in your skin, always from downward to upward. The exfoliating part is already on the cream and not in the intensity of the application. A very strong pressure can damage the skin, or remove more lipid parts of the skin than you should do. So, be sure you apply it gently. Also avoid repetitive movements in the same area so you don`t irritate your skin. Clean your skin with water and apply a moisturizing. Make sure you do this at night, to avoid sun damage. If you do this by day don`t forget to put a sunscreen. You can apply the exfoliating cream when you are taking a bath.
You should apply it once a week. Don`t do it more frequently or else you can damage your skin. So use it with moderation and your skin will be luminous and smooth as silk.
