No matter where you live, chances are there is a theme park in your area or close to it that claims to be the best in the world. Now theme parks are the perfect place for a family to go. Even for those of you who do not like rides you can sit back and relax while the rest of the family are being scared to death! Just for fun today I am looking at some of the best theme parks in the country! It’s a tough job, but I will do it!
Six Flags Magic Mountain
If you are a roller coaster junkie then, Six Flags Magic Mountain is the place that you need to go. This has more roller coasters than any other park with an incredible 18! There are many great ones with the one based on super hero, Green Lantern being one of the most popular. Just a stone’s throw from LA, Six Flags has some of the California vibe going on as well.
Before Six Flags added their 18th roller coaster, Cedar Point called itself the roller coaster capitol of the world as they have a phenomenal 17 roller coasters. One of the cool things about Cedar Point is that this theme park it feels like is more aimed at slightly older kids say in their teens. As well as offering adrenaline fuelled rides they have a really cool Dinosaurs Alive show as well.
This one makes it here for being a great theme park for those on a budget and because it has a classic, old school amusement park feel that just is not matched by many of the other parks. For only about 100 bucks a family of four can enjoy the rides, the water park and even get a bite to eat. They certainly do not make places like Knoebels anymore, that is for sure. They have rides for people of all ages from little kids to the big, refuse to grow up 40 year old kids!
Walt Disney World’s Magic Kingdom
Lake Buena Vista, Florida
This one simply had to be on my list. This place is called the Magic Kingdom for a reason. The rides, the attraction and the classic Disney magic all add up to make Walt Disney World’s Magic Kingdom a place that you really will remember for the rest of your life. They have a great selection of classic and modern Disney characters. There really is something here for everyone and even if rides are not your thing there are a ton of amazing high production value shows for you to enjoy as well.
Schlitterbahn Water Park
New Braunfels, Texas
It was hard to pick my last theme park, but I have gone for Schlitterbahn Water Park because there is nowhere else like it on the planet, let alone the USA. This place is just incredible and it’s freaking huge! As well as all the water slides you can chill out on a gorgeous beach and even partake in a little surfing action as well. And you have not lived until you have tried their uphill (yes that’s right uphill!) water coaster ride!
