It’s something that people without a weight problem simply cannot understand. Unfortunately for every great diet out there, there are a million that are just terrible for our bodies, but they do such a great job of selling themselves, they suck people in. Today I want to share with you some of the absolute worst diets that are out there. If you want to lose weight then do NOT do it like this!
Diets That Use A Miracle Ingredient To Help You Lose Weight
There are some diets that claim to harness the power of a certain type of food or drink and use this power to have the weight just drop off you! It can be a range of supplements put into food or maybe something like using apple cider vinegar. The fact is that these miracle ingredients are pretty much just a placebo and have no standing on your long term weight loss. True there are many types of food that you can eat which can help speed up the weight loss process. But these diets that claim to use them as a special ingredient to enhance weight loss are just full of it. There is no magic ingredient that can make you lose weight. Hey I really wish there was, but these types of diets are just trying to capitalize on us, folks who want to lose weight!
Specific Food Or Food Group Diets
The kind of diets I am talking about here are ones like the cabbage soup diet, low carb diets, grapefruit diets and the like. Any kind of diet where you just eat one kind of food and exclude all others. Any kind of diet that tells you to not eat a specific food group, such as a no carb diet, is bad news for long term weight loss. Now most of these diets will see you get good results… in the early days, but after a short time your body simply cannot cope just eating the same thing or without certain food groups. These kinds of diets never work in the long run and are bad for you also.
Detox & Cleanses
Detox is an in thing these days, but it’s not the perfect way of getting your weight down like people would have you believe. Diets such as the Master Cleanse and the Martha’s Vineyard Diet Detox are not the right way to get your dream body. Anything where you are “cleansing” your body by doing things like having colonics, liver flushes and body cleanses, may offer health benefits if you were to have them sparingly, but as a way to have a healthy, regular and long lasting weight loss they do not work. And doing them time and time again can be very bad for you and lead to all kinds of health problems. There is nothing wrong at all with having a cleanse every once and a while, but to base your whole diet around it is just crazy!
