Today my friends we are taking more of a light hearted look at the way we can shed an extra pound here and there. Now I will say right now that these tips have been proven to help you lose weight as part of your regular diet and exercise regime, but these will not see you drop the pounds just by themselves. Still, as weight loss is so serious most of the time, today we are looking at some of the odd ways you can assist your diet.
Sitting At The End Of The Table Can Help You To Lose Weight
Now this one sounds stupid, but when you take a moment to think about it you will see that there Is some method to this madness. Let’s say you are out with friends for a meal, sitting in the middle of the table is a sure way to make sure you can easily talk to everyone, but sitting in the middle of the table also puts you right next to the bread, fries and whatever else you have ordered for the table. It makes it so easy to just keep sticking your paw in and eating something. Sitting at the end of the table makes it harder to just reach your hand in and eat while you talk without realizing.
Do Not Beat Yourself Up If You Break Your Diet
As a former yo-yo dieter I would be eating healthy one day and then eating a whole can of Pringles the next. I would get such a rush from eating that unhealthy food, that at the time I really would not care about my diet, but after I had finished whatever it was I was eating I would be full of guilt and feel like I had let myself down. This is a total normal reaction to have, but it also induces stress, stress which has been proven to have a negative effect on your weight loss. So rather than getting mad at yourself, just dust yourself off and try again tomorrow. Now I am not saying give yourself a pat on the back after you polish off a whole pizza, but do not dwell on it when you fall of the wagon.
TV Is The Enemy Of Your Weight Loss
People who watch loads of TV are more likely to put on weight. This is actually something that has been proven time and time again. Now you may think the reason for this is that you are just sitting on your butt. But the main reason why watching TV can make you put on the pounds, is that it’s so easy to just sit there mindlessly shoving food into your mouth without even realizing. Now I am a huge fan of TV, but if there is nothing on rather than just sitting like a zombie, watching something I have no interest in, I will get up and go for a walk, clean something around the house or just keep busy. I am avoiding mindless eating and I am burning off a few more calories as well.
Sleep In An Igloo Can Help You Put Some Weight Off
Ok maybe not an igloo, but studies have proven that sleeping in a cold room actually will result in a better night’s sleep and it will help speed up your metabolism. Making your body a little cooler is a great way to fire up your metabolism to warm you up. Bet of all is that this all happens when you are sleeping so you are burning extra calories and getting a good night’s sleep all at once.
