As much as I love to keep an eye on what I am putting into my body, there are some times when I have had a really long day at work. Or maybe I am out with the family and I just want to have some fun, forget about eating something that is good for me and just chow down on some fast food. Hey as long as it’s in moderation we are all entitled to let our hair down once in a while and reward ourselves with something that not so good for us. Subway has a reputation for being the healthiest when it comes to the major worldwide fast food joints. And it actually can be if you know enough about what food is good and what food is bad. But Subway has a bad habit of having things on their menu that look like they would be not too bad for you, but they are actually jam packed with calories, their Foot Long Sweet Onion Chicken Teriyaki is one of them. How can something with onion and chicken be that bad for me? Well this has 800 calories, around 8-10 grams of fat and it has so much sodium in it that if you were to eat this, you are getting your bodies recommended daily sodium intake in just this one meal!

Now there are far more unhealthy things that you can get at McDonalds, but the reason I have chosen this is that it’s one of those items where you think it’s not really that bad, but actually this bad boy is not good for you at all. As a matter of fact if you are having a cheat day and treating yourself you would be as well just going for a cheeseburger! You see, the McDonalds Filet O Fish sandwich contains 380 calories. As well as this though it also packs in 18 grams (give or take) of saturated fat. And the real deal breaker with this is the tartar sauce and mayo. I am not going to lie, the way this tastes best is lathered in tartar sauce or mayo (heck maybe even both) but a tablespoon of each whacks on another 100 calories to the sandwich. And we all know how easy it is to lather something up in mayo.
If You Want To Eat Healthy, Stay Away From : Burger King Tender Crisp Chicken Sandwich
While this may be very tasty it is also one of the most calorie packed sandwiches that Burger King has to offer. Again as its chicken some people make the mistake of thinking that it’s far healthier for them than a cheeseburger. Anyway this sandwich contains a whopping, 800 calories and around 45 grams of fat. Adding a soda to the mix will ensure that you are getting a full days allowance of calories and fat in just one meal.
One Last Thought
I know that if you have a healthy diet for like 90 percent of the month that you have earned a few snacks and unhealthy goodies. Moderation is the key and the reason I have listed these three things in particular is because they give the illusion that they are healthier than they are, so some people make the mistake of thinking they can order one of these and still class it as eating healthy!
